We are a bunch of photography enthusiasts that share their love of the hobby and expertise in the group.
Ideas for a photography group formed in the Milton Artists Guild in late 2017 and we had our first meeting in January of 2018 as "Milton Artists Guild Photographers". In January of 2022 we rebranded ourselves as "Northern Exposure Photography Group".
Our members are mostly Chittenden and Franklin County, Vermont, residents, but we are open to everyone who wants to join. We have a variety of experts in different genres such as:
- Travel & Stock Photography
- Landscapes and Waterscapes
- Wildlife
- Flowers & Macros
- Night Photography
- Abstracts
- ... and much more ...
We meet online every month to talk about our hobby. These meetings typically include topics like:
- Short presentations/trainings
- Photo reviews/critiques
- Photo challenges
- General “photo talk” (gear, tips, etc.)
We also get together in-person for photo critique meetings, for local photo workshops (indoors), or for photo excursions.
We organize longer road trips.
We organize group shows in local galleries and other venues.
We welcome all photographers, no matter the experience level or equipment they use. You only need to be willing to learn and share your work and expertise with the rest of the group.
